Seychelles
Land of Perpetual Summer
Seychelles is the postcard image of a tropical paradise brought to life — 115 granite and coral islands scattered across the Indian Ocean, fringed with powder-white beaches, turquoise lagoons, and giant sculpted boulders found nowhere else on Earth. It's a destination built for slowing down: fewer islands are developed, crowds are minimal, and nature — not infrastructure — sets the pace.
The main islands — Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue — each offer a distinct character. Mahé is the largest and most developed, with a lush mountainous interior and the capital, Victoria. Praslin is home to the Vallée de Mai, a UNESCO World Heritage rainforest and the only place on Earth where the coco de mer palm grows wild. La Digue moves at an even slower pace, famous for Anse Source d'Argent — one of the most photographed beaches in the world, framed by dramatic granite boulders.
Seychelles' waters are exceptionally clear and rich in marine biodiversity, with coral reefs, sea turtles, and vibrant fish life making it a world-class diving and snorkeling destination. On land, giant Aldabra tortoises roam freely on several islands, and rare birdlife draws dedicated birdwatchers to remote atolls.
